Scrapbooking 101: Toppers/Titles/Borders

Do you like to have creative pages, but don't have the time to plan layouts?? Do you like punched pieces or stickers, but don't know how to place them on your pages?? A very simple but creative way to plan your layouts is using page toppers/titles/borders.

Toppers/titles/borders look great on pages, whether they are vertical, horizontal or

diagonal; they work for single or double page spreads. Not only are they quick and easy to create, but once in place, you really only need to add your photos and journaling to have a completed page. What could be simpler?

Toppers and Titles are generally located at the top of the page with lettering that describes the layout. Borders generally have just a design or are embellished and run vertically or horizontally. You can also create your own borders by repeating a single punch, stamp or clip art image. Sticker modules are also great to create borders.

Tip - When you are using punches from the same colors as you are matting your border with, punch your shapes from the mat itself. Make sure you are in far enough that the holes will be covered by the border. This way you also maximize the use of your paper too.
