ClubScrap Dahlia Blog Hop

Dahlia Blog Hop!!

Today I am working with Club Scrap's Dahlia kit.  This kit is so pretty!!  My mother actually owns and runs a Dahlia farm, so this kit really hits home and I made a Mother's Day card for her using the kit.  This card is called a neverending card and it is really cool.

I am totally loving this card technique!!  Check out the video at the end of the blog as well on how to make it!!

Supplies:
Cardstock
bone folder
glue
Embellishment

Instructions:
1. Cut 2 pieces of cardstock 6x6
 2.  Score at 1.5 in and 4.5 in on both pieces
 3.  Cut pieces in half across the score lines
4. Put glue in the four corners
 5.  Glue yellow on top of orange, lay the cut lines opposite of one another like shown:

 6.  Prep all the cut outs from the kit - to use for embellishing the card:
Here is the front of the card, first set of panels
Here is the next set of panel when you filp the card the first time:
Here is the 3rd set of panels:
Here is the 4th set of panels:
I made a couple of other versions as well:

ClubScrap April Artist Team Challenge Blog Hop

APRIL ARTIST CHALLENGE

This months' artist challenge was to create handmade Flowers and/or Butterflies.  I opted to make some flowers.  I used some of Club Scrap text weight quad printed papers from HERE.

These particular papers and layout was created using Club Scrap's Oopsie Daisy kit.

Supplies needed:
Patterned paper
Ink
Adhesive
Bone folder
Buttons

Cut
4 papers 1.5 in x 3 in
4 papers 1.5 in x 2.5 in

Fold each piece lengthwise.

Fold ends into triangles creating pointed tips.

Fold the long edge inward to center.

Ink edges.

Adhere flaps down.

Adhere two pieces together creating a set.  Create 3 or 4 sets per flower, whatever you like.  Layer the sets and adhere with popdots and adhesive as desired.  Adhere a button on top.  Fold and bend petals to give more dimension.
