Project Tutorial - Beaded Scrapbook Framed Wall Art
Beaded Scrapbook Framed Wall Art
This creates a scrapbook layout you can hang on the wall. I found these great frames that are about 11 inches by 11 inches at the dollar store in my town. It is actually a cork board with frame. So I created a regular old scrapbook layout the size of the inner part of the frame, which in this case was 10 inches by 10 inches.
Supplies needed:
Wood white board, cork board, or frame with backing
Pattern paper
Glue lines or glue dots
Photos
Paint
Beaded trim
1. Firstly, take the dimensions of the inside of your frame and jot them down.
2. Secondly start preparing the frame. You can use either spray paint or regular paint. You will need to do a couple of coats, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly before applying additional coats of paint.
3. While the frame is drying, create your scrapbook page. In my project the dimensions were 10in x 10in. Add any photos and journaling now, before inserting into the frame.
4. Once frame is painted and dried. Cut your beaded trim to fit your frame. I did wrap mine around the edges, so that the cut ends would not show. I used glue lines – which are similar to glue dots – to adhere my beaded trim to the frame.
5. Now you can use glue dots to adhere your layout into the frame.
6. You are done, just hang on the wall. Makes a lovely gift.
Good luck and have fun!
