Project - Versailles "ATC Display"

We received this kit - that created the 9 compartment ATC Display project, for hanging on the wall - in our 2011 Versailles Club Stamp kit. I decided that the photos from our lil impromptu photo shoot around the very vibrant neighborhood would go nicely into this project for a gift. I embellished the display unit with stamped and punched out 'leaves' (all folded and adhered on popdots to give a real 3D look) using all of the gorgeous autumn colors from the "Comfort Zone" kit.

Loopy Christmas Ornament

Very simple project but be sure and have some paper clips handy to hold pieces together while the glue is drying.
Instructions:
Cut green pieces 5.5 in long and 1 inch wide. Red ones can be shorter, like maybe 4 inches. This doesn't have to be precise. Our ornament turned out fairly large, so if you want it smaller, cut your pieces shorter.
Fold a loop into each of the green pieces and adhere the two ends together. Now you could use roller

adhesive if you like, but i wanted to ensure it didn't fall apart in storage, so I used liquid adhesive for mine. In my case I used small clips to hold them together while drying.
Once you have all the green ones folded and adhered, and dried - then fold the red ones, put adhesive on both sides of the ends of both red flaps and adhere in between two green ones, again hold with a clip. Once those - sets of green/red/green dry - adhere all the sets together.

You can add an additional extra long folded piece for the 'hanger'. I cut mine about 8 inches long and 1/2in wide. I then cut and matted a circular photo in the center of the ornament.

2 Tiered Beaded Ornamant

Cut (6) Green patterned paper pieces 3 in long and 1/2 in wide.

Cut (4) Green patterned paper pieces 2 in long and 1/2 in wide.
Once cut - poke or punch a small hole in each end, centering the hole about 1/4th in from each end. Use a bone folder to sort of train the paper into a bended crescent or "moon" shape (see photo). Take a 2 in head pin and feed all 12 of the 3 inch pieces onto it. make sure you go red/green/red/green and keep the pattern of the paper facing down as you add them. Now carefully - take the bottom (first one) paper and fold up, insert opposite ends hole onto the head pin. Repeat with the next piece of cardstock and the next until you have a complete "ball" created.

Repeat the same process with all of the 2 in pieces, creating another smaller 'ball'. Use a pair of jewelry pliers to finish off the 2 in head pin with a loop. From here you can add some beads to dangle from the ornament. From the other end of the headpin, add a piece of ribbon to use as a hanger.

Shadow Box Card - Version 3

Shadow Box Card
This is a pretty neat card. It folds flat for mailing, but then pops up once opened and it can stand up.
Supply list:
Cardstock
Rubberstamps
Bone folder/Scoring tool
Adhesive
Popdots
Instructions:
1. Cut (2) pieces of cardstock 7.25in X 5.25in.
2. While cardstock is laying horizontally, score
at 1/2in and 1in from each edge of cardstock.
3. On only ONE of the two pieces, cut out a
center opening. Do not cut this opening too close
to the left/right edges, otherwise when you fold
your card flat, you will see the folded pieces in
your cut out opening. So if you are scoring at ½ in
then you want to make sure you have a ½ in space
4. Fold on score lines.
5. Glue the front to the back on the first folded flap
On each side of the card.
6. Embellish card as desired
