SEPTEMBER ARTIST CHALLENGE
The theme for September is Garden Shed. We thought it would be fun to challenge you to incorporate wooden elements into your projects.I had some large flower wooden cut outs laying around that I decided to be my 'wood' for this challenge. I decided to kill two birds with 1 stone on this project - since retreat is coming right up and I needed a door sign for our motel room - I created the following layout using the ClubScrap Transformations kit for our motel door. I totally love this photo - Tricia is just too fun - seriously if you haven't gone to ClubScrap retreat - get a jar and start saving your change - it is the most amazing time ever!!
I started out with plain wood diecuts, then I spray painted them with white paint. Let dry. You will need to do a couple layers if necessary. Once painted and dry. I rubberstamped the butterfly image in black india ink. I used a script image with blue ink and stamped around the butterfly image. I then inked the edges of the flower with blue ink and let dry.
And just for giggles - I made two cards as well using the wooden diecut pieces!!
