Club Scrap June Artist Challenge

Travel Journal

I am headed to the coast in about a week and decided to make a travel journal that I can fill out while we travel and then I can add photos upon our return.

Supplies needed:
Cardstock
Envelopes
Rubberstamps
Embellishments

Instructions:
I used 2 sizes of envelopes - 5 larger and 1 smaller - I sealed all the envelopes closed, then trimmed the edge to open them up - I trimmed 1 of the larger ones a little shorter than the other 4.  Punch circles to create half circlular openings.  Use adhesive and run a single line of glue down the center of envelopes and glue the envelopes together.   Ink edges and rubberstamp map image onto the envelopes.
Cut tags to fit envelopes.  Punch circles and bend in half and place over ends of tag tops and staple ribbons and half circles to tag.
Cut some mat board to create outer cover.  6x4 3/4; 6x1 for spine.  Adhere mat board to cardstock.  Trim corners as shown.
Adhere flaps to mat board.  Cut cardstock to cover inside cover.
Cut 4 pieces of patterned cardstock 8.5x5.5, fold in half.  Pierce holes 1/2 inch from each edge of each of the 4 signatures.  Punch holes in cover spine to attach the signatures to the spine as shown.
Adhere the set of envelopes to the left side of the inside cover and insert the tags.  Embellish pages and front cover with ribbons and stamped images, etc.

Club Scrap National Park Blog Hop

Club Scrap "National Parks" Blog Hop

 photo 0615NatParks_blog hop_zpscumjxsou.jpg
Welcome to my blog today!!  So glad to have you here.  I had to pre-schedule this post as I am currently on vacation at the Oregon Coast!!  I saw this idea on the internet and thought it was an interesting concept for holding the tags - and wanted to give it a try - it works great, I really like it.

Supplies:
CardstockEmbellishments (eyelets, ribbon)
Stamps
Ink

Instructions:

Take a piece of cardstock 12x6 and score every 1/2 inch.  Fold accordion style.  You will want 10 mountains, so I had to trim a little off.
Punch holes 1/2 inch from edge on all except for the first flap and the last flap - which will be adhered to the cover.
Use eyelets and put together 2 mountains, create 5 sets of folds.
Cut mat board 5 1/4 x 4 for front and back covers, cut two spines 5 1/4x1, cut front flap 5 1/4x1 1/2.  Adhere mat boards to cardstock.
 Add cardstock to inner cover.
Cut 10 tags 2x3 inches, rubberstamp images/sayings, add ribbon.
Adhere the accordion section to the spine and front cover right over the bend.

Embellish front cover.  Use a binder clip to hold cover closed - I added a number of pieces of ribbon to the handles on the binder clip.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoy my project and find it inspiring!!

Graduation Congratulations Gift Certificate holder card

I made a set of Graduation cards - I used Club Scrap's 'The Blues" kit - the local school color is blue, so this was a perfect kit to use.   Turns out pert-near every babysitter we ever used is graduating this year, along with some co-workers kids we know, so I needed a number of graduation cards.

You can use this Youtube video for instructions.
I cut black cardstock following the instructions in the youtube video.  I cut the blue panels and adhered just the two sides and bottom edge to create pockets for gift cards or cash.
I made some tassel's using embroider floss in shades of blue.
I made matted panels for the inside of the card.
