Card - Dahlia Fold technique #2

Here is another version of the "Dahlia Fold" technique I shared yesterday.

“Smile in Full Bloom” card

Punch (2) 1.5 inch gray, (2) 1.5 inch red, and (8) 1.5 inch brown/white two tone cardstock circles. Fold all circles into petals. Ink edges of brown petals with brown ink, and gray & red petals with red ink. Attach a strip of gray patterned cardstock along left edge and a 3 inch red circle. Take a 12 inch long strip of 1/3in wide gray pattern paper and fold it in a curve to create stem of flower, staple at each bend to card front. Attach 2 brown petals at the top, 2 at the bottom, 2 at the left and 2 at the right of the red circle. Attach the 2 gray petals, one at top and one at bottom. Attach the 2 red petals, one at left and one at right as shown. Using a brad, attach paper flowers to the center of all the petals. Rubberstamp “Smile” sentiment (ClubScrap) in black ink. Rubberstamp “flower fan” image (ClubScrap) in brown ink in the upper and lower right hand corners. Finished card measures roughly 5.5 in x 8 in.
