Project Tutorial - Magnetic Fridge pen/post-it caddy

This little project came to be out of necessity. I was starting to go a little bonkers, never being able to locate a pen or pencil around my kitchen to write my shopping list on the fridge. So I covered a piece of mat board with patterned paper, leaving a small slit in the pattern paper to insert a post-it note (I wanted to be able to replace my post it note pads whenever they run out. Then I took 2 'Airbourne' containers and covered them with pattern paper, and attached them as well. Added some embellishments, adhered some hefty magnets on the back and vola' - perfect for the fridge. I love it!

Card - Dahlia Fold technique - How To

Dalia paper folding technique

NOTE: Use a bone folder to reinforce all folds.

1. Punch a 1.5 inch round circle.

2. Fold circle in half.

3. Open circle and fold in half in the opposite direction.

4. Using the previous 2 folds, fold the lower right and left hand corners to the back side of the circle.

5. Using the center fold as a guide, fold the circle on the line as shown:

Once you have 8 of these petals made up, you can create a full flower. You can do various other projects using these same petals, I will be posting a few cards to show some fun ideas.

Thanks for looking

Happy Mother's day....

Look at all the fun things I got for Mother's Day...I love my family!!!

Lil Wyatt brought home this teacup and saucer with some gorgeous purple flowers planted in the cup - and yes purple is my favorite color!!!

When we stopped at Super 1 today to pick up some Greek Yogurt (yes my new favorite thing...) they were having a Mother's day special - a Cake, a Carnation, and a Card for $4 and AJ was all over that idea, he got to decorate the cake himself with icing and sprinkles and lil plastic flowers/butterflies. AJ also made me a beautiful hand stitched card at school.

I feel very blessed to have wonderful children!!
