Welcome to my blog today!!  So glad to have you here.  Been another busy month around here...went and spent a great Mother's day with my mom and all my siblings and their families - but glad to be back and get back to my craftiness!!

Today I made a Graduation gift for a young gal who used to babysit my kids when they were much younger.  I will be buying 4 giftcards to slip into the little pockets within the 'purse' carrier.

Supplies:
2 envelopes
5x9.5 pattern cardstock
Embellishments (fiber, button, paper flowers)
Stamp
Ink

Instructions:
1.  Using a decorative diecut, cut one end of cardstock as shown:
2.  Score cardstock at these measurements:
3.  Cut another piece of cardstock and add to front flap:
4. Lick and stick envelopes closed.  Fold envelopes in half.  Trim off very edges of long sides as shown:

5.  Using decorative die cut, temporarily tape on center of trimmed edge and cut. repeat on all four pockets.

6.  Punch holes in center of envelopes and purse.  Add ribbon and tie to the inside.
7.  Punch holes and add 'handle' to the purse:
8.  Add velcro closure by hot gluing velcro onto flap and front.
9.  Add flower embellishment.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoy my project and find it inspiring!!

Club Scrap May Artist Challenge

Club Scrap May Artist Challenge

So this month - The challenge for May is to make a two-page layout or a set of cards using the selected cards from the Idea Deck Volume 5.

I chose to make the set of cards using Club Scrap's "50s Kitchen" kit. Here is what I came up:

Gesso Card 2

Gesso Cards

Decided to participate in Club Scraps' May Technique Challenge, and here is what I came up...

These first two cards, I used watercolor paper as a base.  I used stencils and gesso and let dry.  I then spritzed with delusions ink spray and let dry.  I then used a wet wipe to wipe the color from the gesso to make them pop out a bit.

This card I painted the white gesso on the lemon stencil repeatedly on blue card back.  Let dry.  Used yellow ink and sponge onto lemon sliced using stencil.
