Altered - Clipboard - Calendar

"Altered Clipboard" Flip Photo Calendar

Supplies:
7x7 Clipboard: Club Scrap
Pesto; Cranberry; and Eggplant Inks: Ranger
Black ink: Superior Palette Noir Black
“2006,” “Calendar,” “screws,” “numbers” rubberstamps: Club Scrap
“Month words” stamps: My Sentiments Exactly
Crackle Medium: Craft Store
Acrylic paint: Delta
Metal binder: Dollar store
Silk flowers: Dollar Store
Zig Marker
Sizzix page tabs diecut
Quickutz photo corners diecut
Ribbons: Lil Davis, Michaels, Club Scrap
Chain: Club Scrap

Instructions:

1. Paint clipboard brown. Let dry.
2. Paint clipboard with crackle medium. Follow instructions on bottle. Let dry.
3. Paint clipboard cream. Let dry. It will crackle.
4. Drill 2 holes in the upper right and upper left hand corners. Tie various ribbons and fibers to the clipboard.
5. Take a green silk flower and a burgundy silk flower apart and intermix them – put them back together and adhere to clipboard handle.
6. Take a cheap address book from the dollar store and tear it apart, getting just the metal binder.
7. Cut 13 sheets of patterned cardstock 4.25in x 4.75in in green, blue, and burgundy.
8. Punch 6 holes across the top of each sheet matching up with the binder. Rubberstamp “screws” over top of the holes in eggplant.
9. Ink all edges of the 13 sheets alternating between eggplant, cranberry, and pesto inks.
10. Place the 13 sheets into the binder.
11. For the cover, rubberstamp “2006” on different colors of scraps, cut out and ink edges. Adhere to a mat on cover sheet.
12. Cut 12 sheets 3.25in x 4.25in in cream cardstock. Rubberstamp “calendar” on each one. Ink edges in the three inks.
13. Stamp “numbers” onto the calendar pages and adhere to pages in the binder. Add page corner diecuts for embellishments.
14. Stamp “month word” on cream cardstock, ink edges and adhere to pages for each month.
15. Cut and mat various small photos to the pages for each month.
16. Diecut page tabs and handwrite in the months on both sides, adhere to appropriate pages.
17. Run chain through the metal binder and you can hang the ‘closed’ calendar around the metal handle on the clipboard, or use the clip to hang the “opened” calendar pages.
18. Hang on wall and enjoy for a whole year.
