I was so excited to be able to go to my first drink Wine and Paint canvas class, only problem is Valentine's day was here and I wanted to paint a canvas for my hubby.  So thanks to Youtube - I was a number of videos and then tried my hand at this painting...

Valentine's Day Blog Hop - I love Canvas!!

Club Scrap "Valentine's Day" Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog today!!  So glad to have you here.  I have been very busy, my son is in driver's ed and wants to drive ALL THE TIME...This has been keeping me outta the house more than usual.  I am glad he is so excited though and it is hard to say no to that kid!

Well if you follow my blog at all, you know I really enjoy making canvases.  I have a new office and there is some big holes in the wall from the previous occupant, and I need to make some art to cover those spots - so here is one of them!!

SUPPLY LIST:
Canvas
Tissue Paper
Rubberstamps
Cardstock
Gesso
Embellishments
Modge Podge
Pop dots

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Paint canvas with gesso - cover entire surface - let dry.
2.  Cut a piece of tissue paper larger than the size of the canvas you are using, this will wrap around to the back of the canvas.  Stamp various images all over the tissue with black india ink.

3.  Cover surface and sides of canvas with modge podge.

4.  Quickly lay tissue over canvas where you would like it to lay.  Tissue is very fragile and will rip easily, especially if covered in modge podge, but if you happen to tear, you can just stamp an extra image on another piece of tissue and patch the spot.  Wrap around the back of canvas and set aside to dry.

5.  Once dry - spritz with Dylusions spray ink.  Use paper towel to spread ink if desired.  Let dry.

6.  Now cut 4 rectangular panels from 2 shades of pink and a bunch of hearts in different shapes and sizes.

7.  Stamp on hearts if desired.  Ink edges.  Adhere hearts onto panels with popdots.   Embellish with pearls, charms, ribbon, etc.  Adhere the 4 panels to the canvas.  Do final embellishment with hearts.

Vday Card - Take 4

 Super simple card.  Just stamp flourishes from IVORY ELEGANCE ClubScrap kit - 3 times as shown.  Punch out hearts in various colors and sizes and attach.

Vday Card - Take 5

 Another super simple card - Stamp 'tree' image from TREES kit and 'I love you' from BE STILL kit on white panel.  Draw a line down from branch to 'hang' heart from.  Then add a heart brad.  Mad onto black panel onto red card back.

 Add some stickles to the tree and ground.  Let dry.

Card - How do I love thee??

How do I love thee?

Marya’s February Card Sketch provided the inspiration and you can check out her challenge in the forum HERE!  

Just cut 3 panels of black cardstock to be stamped and adhered to white cardback:

I stamped the panels with white chalk ink using stamps from the ClubScrap FIZZ kit.  It's an older kit but an awesome set of stamps!

 Just cut out a small square and heart, embellished by stamping, adding a touch of bling.

Finished up the lower section  with some more hearts and the sentiment.  Hope you have a great day!!

Valentine's card - Heart Swirls

 Valentine's Day Card

Stamp "swirls" from ClubScrap Serenity kit onto card front in black ink. Ink edges of card front.  Punch out some hearts from pink cardstock.  Rubberstamp largest heart with 'script' from ClubScrap Memoirs kit.  Ink heart edges.  Adhere as shown to card front. Using a black pen, draw line from swirl loop to largest heart. Stamp sentiment from ClubScrap Arts & Crafts kit.  Mat onto card back.

Love Birds - Valentine's day card

Supplies:
Branch stamp (Pure & Simple kit)
Bird stamps (Take Wing kit)
Love Birds stamp (Take Wing kit)
Cardstock
Ink
Red heart brad
Clear stickles

Instructions:
1.  Stamp "branch" image and the 2 "bird" images

2.  Poke hole between birds and add the heart shaped brad.

3. Stamp "love birds" sentiment in black ink.

4.  Add stickles to the upper edge of the branch image
