September Artist Team Challenge

September Artist Team Challenge

September's challenge is to incorporate watercolor techniques into your projects. We could use any technique that results in a “watercolor” feel. I found a cool technique I wanted to try where you use 'alcohol' to repel the watercolor, pushing the color away leaving a lighter tint of color exposed. The results were gorgeous.

Supplies:
Watercolor paper
Dylusions spray
Alcohol - I used nail polish remover
Stamps
Black ink
White gel pen

Instructions:

1. You are going to want to hurry and do the next two steps quickly - so have step 2 supplies all ready to go, right after step 1. You don't want to the dylusions spray to dry before doing step 2. Spritz watercolor paper with 2 shades of dylusions spray.
2. While the dylusions spray is still wet, put nail polish remover in small dish and use toothbrush or Q-tip to spritz or dab alcohol onto the wet spots, the color will move and leave cool designs as shown:
 3. Once dry, stamp images in black ink.
 4.  Using white gel pen, outline stamped images.
 Add sentiment and mat card.

Here is the another three versions I made using same technique:
