Club Scrap Delft Blog Hop

Delft Blog Hop!!

Today I am working with Club Scrap's Delft Digi Kit.This is such a pretty kit - I am really loving the 'broken dishes' design on the papers!! Here are the 3 layouts I did today for the blog hop using this fantastic kit:
On this above layout - I used a 'button' element and colored them either dark or light blue, then I took the flower digital image and make it into a brush (select image, go to Edit, Define brush preset) and then painted white flowers on the dark blue buttons and dark blue flowers on the light blue buttons.

On this above layout, I again created brushes with the various digital images and increased the brush size very large to blow up the images big to use as frames.  In order for the white to stand out against the background - I increased the the size of the drop shadows a lot to give them lots of shadow and make them pop!!

March Artist Team Challenge

March Artist Team Challenge
Club Scrap Digital kits

So I think I am getting a bit of spring fever...I think I am just about done with all the snow we have had - the family is thrilled with it, of course, because it extends the skiing season, but I am pretty much over the whole shoveling thang!!  SO in high hopes of spring - I opted to use Club Scrap's Spring Chorus digital kit for this month's Artist challenge of working with one of their digital kits.  I am pretty comfortable with their digital kits and really enjoyed this challenge!!  Here are three layouts I created:

Weathered Florals ATC - 2016 Retreat Swap

2016 Club Scrap Retreat ATC Swap

These are the ATC cards I made for the 2016 Club Scrap Retreat ATC swap.  I used "Weathered Florals" stamps from ClubScrap.   I created 3 different color versions of the same set of images.  My inspiration this year was from the 'rocks' I have been painting for leaving around town - we have a facebook group locally called "Kalispell Rocks" and folks paint rocks and 'hide' them around town or parks or wherever and other folks can find them - then post to the group a picture of them finding the rocks - the finder can then rehide or keep the rock, whichever they prefer.  Anyways I have been painting a ton of rocks and I really like the 'dot' technique for coloring in images - so I decided to rubber stamp the main images - and color them in with various shades of color as shown in the images here.  Its a super fun and simple technique - give it a try!!

To create the dots - you can use various tools - and sizes - here I used 3 different sizes of  embossing tools, just like these - this set I have has 6 different sizes.  But if you don't have these - you can you pencil eraser, end of paint brushes, wooden dowels, chopsticks, etc - pretty much anything pointy!!

I used acrylic paints to paint/color in the images with the dots.

Here I painted in various shades of green for the leaves:
