Garden Shed Blog Hop

 Garden Shed Blog Hop!!

Today I am working with Club Scrap's Garden Shed kit.  Today I made a mini album that folds out and has all sorts of little pockets for inserting photos or other memorabilia.  The cut outs in this kit were a perfect addition to the mini album!!

To create this little album - start by scoring every 3 inches in both directions.  This creates 16 blocks - now cut away blocks as shown:

Now cut away half a block where you see the X above to get this:
Now diecut or punch half circles as shown:
Here is a more detailed image of how to make the album - cut on cut lines, score on score lines...
Here is the folded up album - I adhered a ribbon to the back to tie around and keep mini together.

Thanks for stopping by...now for more great stuff -

September Artist Team Challenge (Wood)

SEPTEMBER ARTIST CHALLENGE

The theme for September is Garden Shed. We thought it would be fun to challenge you to incorporate wooden elements into your projects.

I had some large flower wooden cut outs laying around that I decided to be my 'wood' for this challenge. I decided to kill two birds with 1 stone on this project - since retreat is coming right up and I needed a door sign for our motel room - I created the following layout using the ClubScrap Transformations kit for our motel door. I totally love this photo - Tricia is just too fun - seriously if you haven't gone to ClubScrap retreat - get a jar and start saving your change - it is the most amazing time ever!!
I started out with plain wood diecuts, then I spray painted them with white paint. Let dry. You will need to do a couple layers if necessary. Once painted and dry. I rubberstamped the butterfly image in black india ink. I used a script image with blue ink and stamped around the butterfly image. I then inked the edges of the flower with blue ink and let dry.

And just for giggles - I made two cards as well using the wooden diecut pieces!!

If you are headed to retreat - and see our door sign - knock and say HI!!!!!!

So now go check out LILIAN's project next!!!

Wicked Wednesdays "Fall colors" challenge - Garden Shed ATC

Garden Shed ATC

These stamps are so fun - I totally looove Butterflies - so I would imagine I will be doing a lot of playing with this little guy!!  The garden shed set of stamps are very fun and lots of potential - You can find them HERE.

This one I am submitting to Wicked Wednesdays ATC Challenge blog for their "Fall Colors" themed challenge:

To create background, I inked edges with brown ink, then spritzed with yellow and brown delusions sprays.  I then stamped the buterfly, script, and thyme images as shown.  I stamped the sentiment on a couple pieces of cardstock and trimmed out each word leaving as much space as I could around each word.  I then used a marker to outline each word.  I colored in butterfly with yellow and pink sharpies.  I outlined the butterfly with white pen.  I added a few extra scribblings using a black pen.

This one I am submitting to Wicked Wednesdays ATC Challenge blog for their "Fall Colors" themed challenge:
