Card - Flower Pot (version 1)
So I had a very dear friend and co-worker who was retiring from work and I wanted to make an extra special card for her.
I had seen these style of cards various places around the internet and thought they were beautimus.
So I just cut up a flower pot that folds from the bottom and you glue along the right and left sides, creating a pocket from the top.
Then cut a panel that fits into the pocket but that sticks up out of the pocket about 2 inches. I trimmed the top of this panel into a triangle. If you panel is too skinny, add a larger triangular piece to your tag at the top - this is where you will attach your flowers and greenery.
I cut about a 2 in piece for the top of the pot and punched with edge puncher, added ribbon. I also die cut a tag (sizzix die) and stamped my sentiment.
Then I created my flowers using 3-4 flower punches from 3 different punches. Making sure to bend, curve, pinch and or trim edges to give them real dimension. I put them all together with a brad and attached to the tag. I used the 3 leaf petal from a sizzix die for the greenery.

Project - Baby Album
Ok - another baby gift for another friend of the family. This is a quick little 8x8 album. I was rummaging through my stuff and found a baby kit from ClubScrap that I bought a few years ago - the Oh Baby kit, if I recall correctly. I made the album cover out of some corrugated 8.5 x 11 cardstock, it is white on one side, black on the other. I just inked up the front to match the papers and covered the black side up with patterned papers. I just punched holes into the corrugated paper to match the page protectors and tied ribbons through the whole batch of them to create the binding. The kit had a bunch of cut-outs with sayings and sentiments.

Project - Baby Gifts (Plate, piggy bank)
Well I can't figure out who posted this SVG file for the onesie, but I had some issues with it, I just couldn't get the collar to cut out, it was just too skinny and wouldn't stay in one piece. I will probably hunt up a new SVG next go around or make something new up...but I was wanting to try out my cricut and make a card to go with my baby gift. I used the stamped sentiment from ClubScrap's Oh Boy kit on the front.
The baseball piggy bank is just a little something I picked up and then cut out vinyl letters of the lil guy's name and placed it on both sides of the bank as part of his gift.
The plate is just a $4 plate from Walmart. I cut out the name and details all in black vinyl using my cricut and downloaded the baby image off of google images and did a trace image on it - cut the baby out of blue vinyl.
I am also including the plate holder with the gift. I hope they like it.

Cards - Destinations GTG #9
Hard to tell in the picture, but I cut a circle out of the front of the card, so that the white circle with the flower is firmly affixed to the card back.

Cards - Destinations GTG #8
Pretty simple card...on this particular card, I stamped the image, then cut it into 6 pieces all about 1x2.5 in - rounded the corners and did sort of a 'domino' look.

Card - Lotus GTG Blue #5
Once again, I cut my nestabilities mat, scored a line approx 1 inch from top, glued that portion to the card back. I can write my message under this movable flap.

Card - Lotus GTG Blue #4
On this card, when I cut my peach piece from my nestabilities die, I then 'scored' a line about an inch from the top. I glue just the one inch section to the card back. I can write my message under this flap that folds up. Stamps are from ClubScrap's Oh Baby kit.

Card - Lotus GTG Blue #3
On this card, I took a standard folded card and punched the border and a large circle (from the center - this is the spot where you will access the tag in the center of the card). Once this is done, run a thin stream of glue along each edge, leaving the decorated edge un-glued. Now you should have a pocket. Create a tag that fits in the pocket to write your note. I used my nestabilities for all the mats and tag and tag topper. I used the Oh Baby stamps from ClubScrap.

Project - Easter Bunny box
Well I got me a new cricut to play with...and this is my first paper related project. We like to make little gifts for some of the elderly folks in our neighborhood and this is what I came up with...
Mind you this is first stab at creating something like this - with layers and various colors of paper, it isn't perfect, but not too bad. Anyways I created this little box with a bunny. We put easter grass and little reese peanut butter eggs inside. Click here to get the SVG file.
Please leave a note if you download and like this...thanks
