Project - Post It Note pad & Cover #1
This is a cute little spiral Bound "post-it note" pad with cover. I made a number of these, all using ClubScrap's Birds of a Feather papers.
These are really quite simple to make:
1. Cut a piece of mat board about 1 inch larger than your post-it pad, so mine is a 3x3 pad, I cut my mat board 4x4.
2. Cover your mat board with patterned paper front and back.
3. Using a bind it all punch the spiral cuts at the top of each of the covers.
4. Insert the spiral binding.
5. Peel off last page of post-it notes and attach to inside back cover.
6. Embellish front as desired.

Project - Pencil Box
This is a fabulous CS kit (from the Ornamental Dec 2009 kit) - I swapped papers - as the Solstice kit papers worked better for the photos I wanted to use.
I can see making more of these for gifts - I mean wouldn't a teacher LOVE a pencil box like this - with pictures of the kids in the class or even some fun sayings and images.
This one I am going to put on my desk at work and fill with pens and pencils, it'll be much better than the coffee mug I am currently using!!

Project - Teacher gift - Bracelet
Here is the shrinky-dink bracelet I made for my 2nd graders teacher for Christmas this year. Her favorite color is purple. If you would like instructions, they are here. I also bought this lil white box (actually a package of boxes - in the wedding favors section of my dollar tree) and rubberstamped it with some of ClubScrap's holiday stamps, jazzed them up with Stickles glitter glue.

Project - Stationary's Box
I love this project - another of ClubScrap's famous kit - you build this completely from scratch - the kit shows up with all the pieces and parts and you start off by building the box itself and then covering it with the papers and vola a fabulous box to hold greeting cards. Now the papers that came with this kit were incredible BUT I needed to personalize this gift for my son's teacher - and believe it or not - she is a HUGE Vikings fan...so I chose to cover it in purple and yellow to match the vikings colors.
Then inside the box I made 20 some cards all in purple and yellow as well and used the rubberstamps from ClubScraps' Varsity kit to create various Birthday and Thank you cards to include in the box. I included clear envelops for all the cards as well. I really hope she likes this gift! It was loads of fun to make, especially with my son helping and enjoying making it as well and him agreeing that she'd like it too.

Project - Apothecary Cabinet
Well this kit from ClubScrap is just gorgeous...I am just in love with it...
In the kit you build a frame and then place an insert in the center of the frame, creating a two sided project - so I have one large photo on one side, and then you turn it around and create a 3 compartment side.
I also purchased a wood base for it and added some eyebolts, so that I could add the chain and bead embellishments. At the top of the box, there is a handle.
I did the kit in black with blue accents. I love the little bottles with beads, makes it look so dainty.
This is going to be a gift for my hubby for Christmas, but I think it will find its way to my desk at work *wink wink*, I love looking at it!!

2009 Digital Photo Collages
I have a new goal - and that is to try and do up a photo collage EVERY YEAR - I like to take all my favorite photos or the photos with fun stories behind them and collage them together. Then I framed these and hung them on the wall. They turned out real nice hanging! I need to get on it and do the back years too. I did 2006 but not 2007 - started 2008 but got waylaid....

The Elves arrived....
the other day and boy have they been getting into Mischief!!!
They always arrive around the first of December bringing with them an advent calendar and journals for the boys to write letters or draw pictures back and forth nightly. It is an excellent way for the boys to practice their writing skills and spelling.
Originally we started out with just two elves, Beckett & Reeves - but then Santa sent two more elves (cousins) and then this year they brought the big elf, Jonesy, to join the fun!!
The elves leave little gifts throughout their visit like fun snacks I would never buy them (wink wink), craft kits, socks, christmas pjs, etc
