We had a great time!!
Well we spent a wonderful weekend camping this past weekend!
We went to Holland lake and posed as skeeder bait for the poor starving mosquitos there...there was swarms and hords of them, it was really quite scary!
But we had a beautiful hike up to the falls and back, rented a canoe and row'd around the lake some, and met some nice folks camping who took my wee ones waverunnering.
It was a good time! But glad to know I am not caked in bug spray and sleeping in my own bed tonight!!

Cruise Project - Slip&Stitch album
This was a very quick and easy project.
The nice thing about ClubScrap's projects is that all the materials are basically cut to size and ready to put together. We just had to lay out the pieces just so and adhere all the papers onto the mat boards as shown to create the outer album.
Then we just quickly stitched all of the pre-punched pages together. This lil batch of stitched pages easily slip in and out of the cover pocket.

Layouts - Cruise - Our motel pre-cruise
Welp I managed to get a few scrapbook pages done tonight, sure feels good. I haven't *paper* scrapbooked - the old tradional way - in a very long time. I am actually pretty glad that I decided to traditionally scrap my cruise, it is feeling very good to accomplish some pages!!
This was pics of our night in the motel prior to our day of crusin'...

Layout - Backpack Boys!!!
Here is my first layout for my "Freedom of the Seas" Cruise (that I was so fortunate to get to go on) Album. As you can see I took my darling boys in their "flat" form - and trust me when I say - this is a fabulous way to travel with kids!!
This paper is from ClubScrap's "Concrete Jungle" June Kit.
Now I love the kids to death - but ahhhh what a peaceful flight to Miami it was.....

Cruise Project 4 - First one...
This was another WAY COOL project - we made fairly large 'mailable' postcards. So we decorated the fronts using various embellishments and techniques these are done on matboard, making a nice firm base to work from. On the backside, we drew the typical postcard lines for adding a mailing address.
This first one has seashells & netting adhered to the front and some stickers and some gesso. We also used another substance for the wheel in the stencil - can't exactly remember the name of it...but it has dimension to it.

Cruise Project 3 - Paper Veneer
This had to be one of my most favorite techniques we learned on the cruise. It is a faux "Veneer" look using just plain old cardstock, ClubScraps bookbinding glue and ink....
This particular project is very 3Dish and sits on a stand, but I didn't get the photo taken with it. I still need to add a photo to the photo mat.
This looks way better in real life - the flash sorta washed the colors out some...anyways you get the idea.

Cards - Hexagon 'folds flat for mailing' card
Isn't this just the coolest card ever? It has lil rubberbands inside it that allow you to lay the card flat for mailing, but then when you pull it out - it pops up into a hexagon shaped ball of a card....very fun...also works great digitally too.
If you would like the template for this project, please post a comment and I will email it to you.
Once you get the template, cut two of them from very heavy cardstock. Rubberstamp images onto the cut-out cardstock. You fold the flaps and glue together, you need to you very strong adhesive - regular double sided stick tape doesn't seem to hold well enough for long lasting project. I recommend a liquid adhesive of some sort. Before gluing the last set of flaps together, you hook a rubberband onto the paper hook (on template). Once assembled, embellish with flowers, ribbons, tags, etc.

Pizza Box Paper holders
So I on average, get 3 pizza boxes a month. Club Scrap, Club Scrap Jr., and Club Stamp. I generally combine the 3 kits together and then I have an extra two boxes a month...once I get a stack of them, I will cut them into either stacking drawers for wood mounted rubberstamps, or into these paper holders. Cheap and easy storage for extra paper!!
